About the grounds
The Mennonite cemetery in Bahrenfeld opened in 1873 and now welcomes burials from other denominations. A separate historic section preserves grave slabs from the former cemetery on Große Roosenstraße. Transferred after that cemetery closed in 1936, they record the history of Hamburg’s Mennonite community.
